Lessons...

In-person guitar tuition in Acle, Norwich, Norfolk, for students aged 12+ and adult learners, is tailored for beginners and those with some experience who want to deepen their skills and musical understanding. You'll learn to read music, grasp key theory (understanding how it connects to both the guitar and music more broadly), and build a strong foundation through exercises, study pieces, and songs, at a pace that suits you, whilst remembering that, above all, the main purpose of making music is to enjoy the process and have fun.

If you're aiming for graded exams, I am well-versed in the Trinity College London syllabi, or if you simply want to play for pleasure, that's fine too as lessons are designed to be supportive, flexible, and encouraging whatever your goals may be. Sessions take place in my comfortable garden music room, with free off-road parking and easy access by train or bus.

You can choose weekly or fortnightly lessons: One-hour lesson: £30

About...

I’m Simon. I’ve been playing guitar since I was 13, starting in rock bands and later, as a mature student, earning a First-Class Honours degree in Music, and a Distinction in Creative Music Making from Trinity Laban Conservatoire London. For my own daily practice I focus on classical guitar repertoire, with the occasional venture into jazz standards.

With several years of experience working in higher education, I combine practical skills with a strong academic background. I'm DBS certified, insured, and a member of the Musicians Union.
